Dear Keypoint Family,

Last week, President Trump declared that churches are essential, and urged governors to allow them to reopen. That being said, Arkansas churches have not been closed during this season, there also has not been a stay-at-home issue ordered. However, some states have had tighter restrictions and have not permitted places of worship to gather. President Trump was specifically speaking to those circumstances.

The CDC has released guidelines for places of worship and our team has reviewed them. Governor Hutchinson has extended Phase 1 and stated we’re not ready to move into Phase 2 just yet, due to the still-rising cases of Covid-19 in our state.

Now, we know some will want to meet as soon as possible, while others are not ready yet to meet. And we understand both sides.

We know there are other churches around the city that are already meeting in some measure and capacity. And that’s okay.

With that being said: we believe that our wisest strategy is to continue taking a phased approach.

We still don’t know how all of this is going to play out. The government has laid out phases of its own and those are even contingent, as our community and state hit certain numbers of COVID-19 cases. So, all of our dates are tentative and fluid because they have to be. We’re planning our phases as we get updates from our President, Governor, and the CDC.

We are seeking the Lord to give us wisdom and show us what we need to do as a church moving forward. And we’ve decided it would be best to continue our weekend experience online for the time being.

Our mission is that we exist to help people Know God, Experience Life, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference. We started a new message series on Sunday called Made for This. We’re learning how we experience life together, why He chose us to be alive in 2020, how to make a difference. This happens in Life Groups. It’s not just something we do – it’s who we are. It is how we were designed. Look at the early church in the book of Acts.

Life Groups are already starting to meet this week. All Groups are  posted on our KPC App and Some meet online  and others meet in person. You can choose your Group based on your comfort level and desire.

The summer semester will run for 6 weeks through the first week of July. Each Group will be using the weekend messages as the curriculum. So, just like in the early Church find your people and join a Life Group today.

Maybe you’re saying: “I’m in a Life Group and I love it, but I really want to help make a difference…” Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Lead a Life Group- it’s not too late to sign up. Go to where you can not only sign up to lead, but you’ll also find the training videos and the curriculum you'll  need to be a successful LG leader.

  2. You can help us serve meals during the week to those in need. you can go to the website as well for more info on that.

  3. Pray. Pray for our government leaders and our church staff. We’re not out of the woods yet and there are many decisions that still need to be made.

Finally, we want to thank you for your generosity. Because you give,  we can still help people. Remember when you give, you aren’t giving to Keypoint, but through Keypoint. So thank you for helping move the ministry forward. WE are taking ground! so, If you would like to give, get connected, serve, lead, or receive prayer, you can do so on our app or website.

God is going to use this time for our good. Nothing is wasted with Him and we are going to come out on the other side of this better than before! We love you, are praying for you, and are looking forward to when we can all worship together again. God bless you.
