As most of you know, many of our friends and neighbors in Houston the surrounding areas have had their lives turned upside down by the recent flooding and impact from Hurricane Harvey. Over 50 inches of rain has fallen in some areas since the storm hit. That is enough water to fill the Empire State Building from top to bottom more than 33,000 times. This amount of rain in such a short period of time has left tens of thousands in need of shelter, assistance, and support. This is where you come in!

At Keypoint Church, we believe it is our job to love and serve our neighbors in need and share the love of Christ by putting our faith into action. There are currently four ways you can play a part and make a difference.

1) Pray.

2) Give financially.

3) Donate or lend needed supplies and equipment.

4) Be part of a team to support efforts on the ground.

KPC is coordinating with multiple churches in the Houston area on how to best serve and support their efforts. At this point in time, rescue efforts are still underway, and the immediate primary need is financial support. You can financially support these efforts by going to, click on “Give,” and choose the option for “Flood Relief.” One hundred percent of your donation will go directly to a church that Keypoint is working with in flood relief efforts in the Houston area.

Over the coming weeks, we will be collecting the requested supplies and equipment listed below. You can drop off your donation at any Keypoint Church campus. A truck and trailer is scheduled to leave next Thursday, so we want to do everything we can to fill it with supplies. We will also send teams of people down to Houston once rescue efforts are completed and relief and recovery efforts are underway. We are looking for able-bodied and willing people to serve at distribution centers as well as in other areas of assistance.

Distribution supplies needed:

Hand sanitizer

Baby supplies

Nonperishable food

Basic toiletries

Recovery and cleanup supplies:

Work gloves

Face masks

Shovels, rakes, leaf blowers

Ropes and straps

Drills and screws

Work lights

Axes and saws

Please keep those impacted by Harvey in your thoughts and prayers, and stay tuned for more updates as the situation continues to unfold. If you have any questions regarding Harvey relief efforts, please contact Jarod Ring.

Give Now

We serve a generous God. Everything that we have belongs to Him, but we want to be good stewards of our finances and material possessions. One of Keypoint’s core values is stewardship, about which we say, “Be generous and steward wisely.” We believe our attitude towards money and possessions matters. We believe that when we give, we resemble Jesus. That’s why we want to be both wise and generous with our money and possessions.
